Heavy Rain Alert: Heavy rain forecast for many states.. IMD has issued an alert

Heavy Rain Alert: It is known that heavy rains have been falling all over the country (India) for the past few days. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in many parts of the country including Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Odisha in the coming days. An alert has been issued to this extent.

The IMD has issued an orange alert for seven districts of Uttarakhand: Dehradun, Tehri, Puri, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Haridwar. Heavy rains are likely to occur in these seven districts on Friday and Saturday, it said. In this regard, yellow alert has been issued to the state till July 24. On the other hand, the IMD has predicted heavy rains in some districts of Himachal Pradesh. A yellow alert has been issued to this extent. Similarly, heavy rain warning has been issued in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh till July 22. In this regard, yellow and orange alert has been issued to both the states. Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in Maharashtra in the next five days and Gujarat in the next three days, it said.

Meanwhile, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the southern region are likely to receive heavy rains till July 22, the IMD said. Meteorological center has issued yellow alert for some districts in Kerala. Orange and yellow alerts have been issued for the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
