A very big earthquake happened close to Alaska in America. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) told us that it had a magnitude of 7.4 on the Richter scale. Because of this, the officials have given warnings about possible tsunamis. The event serves as a reminder of the powerful forces of nature and the need for preparedness in earthquake-prone regions like Alaska.

The center of the earthquake was found near Alaska, about 9.3 kilometers deep. The Alaska Earthquake Center mentioned that there were earthquakes in the Alaska Peninsula, Aleutian Islands, and Cook Inlet.
