It means that when we book the tickets, it will be automatically ticked in that box without clicking that option.
If passengers think that insurance is not required, they can remove the ticket. That means No button should be pressed. But it must be said that there are probably no passengers who don’t want to get Rs.10 lakhs of insurance especially when they can’t spend much. But IRCTC has also given this option due to passenger’s preference. Only 35 paise from passengers for this insurance. But nowhere in India, they do not provide insurance by default with just paisas. It is important to note that only one IRCTC is exempted. ( US H1B Visa: Good news for Indian tech professionals )
But who knows what will happen at any given time…not to mention how many train accidents have happened recently. It must be said that IRCTC providing such a facility at such a time and giving default option along with ticket reservation is a good result.
