At the Jan Samvad event in Karnal, CM Khattar took part. This time, a 60-year-old single man claimed to be having difficulties applying for a pension. This was answered by the CM. “We have begun making plans to introduce a new programme (Pension for Unmarried), which will provide unmarried women and men over the age of 45 with monthly pensions.
Within a few months, we hope to have this programme available, he said. The CM also stated that the old age pension will be raised to Rs. 3,000 in the upcoming six months.
