Recently, India’s Union Minister Nitin Gadkari introduced an exciting innovation in the car world. Toyota, a popular car company, revealed their very first FlexFuel car in Delhi. This special car, known as the Toyota Innova HyCross FlexFuel, is quite unique because it uses 100 percent ethanol as its fuel. Toyota worked together with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) to make this car possible. They made sure the car follows the BS-6 (Stage-II) standards, which help keep the environment clean.
Although the price and availability of the car are still a secret, Gadkari mentioned in a tweet that this car is the first of its kind in the world. The car is based on the Innova Hicross hybrid model but has been modified to run on ethanol. It’s powerful too, with a two-litre petrol engine and a hybrid electric system that charges itself. Plus, it’s packed with cool features like a touchscreen infotainment system, a reverse camera, and a parking assist function.
The Indian Government is really pushing for more eco-friendly vehicles these days. They want cars, bikes, and autos in our country to use a special fuel called ethanol. This fuel is better for the environment and can help cut down on pollution by a lot – like 40 percent! Plus, it’s a big deal that India might become the first place in the world to make its own ethanol.
The cool part is that using this fuel could also help us stop buying so much expensive oil from other countries. Nitin Gadkari, a important person in the government, shared his dream that all vehicles in India will run on pure ethanol, and he thinks this can help us reach our goal of making less pollution and being kinder to the Earth.
