UPI ATM Launched: No need to carry card to withdraw money from an ATM

UPI ATM has been introduced by Hitachi Payment Services, a division of Hitachi Limited

Launch of India’s first UPI ATM. UPI ATM has been introduced by Hitachi Payment Services, a division of Hitachi Limited. Currently, without an ATM card, one can withdraw cash immediately from an ATM using UPI. In order to offer this capability to the people of India, it was introduced as UPI ATM White Label ATM (WLA) in partnership with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Through the UPI app, customers of this ATM are able to make payments from different accounts.

At the Mumbai Global FinTech Fest, Ravisutanjani Kumar uploaded a video demonstration on social media. In which the UPI ATM is comparable to a touch screen. You can purchase Rs. 100, Rs. 500, Rs. 1000, Rs. 2000, and Rs. 5000 by pressing on UPI Cardless Cash on the right side. A new window will popup with a button to pick the cash amount and any other sums. The moment you choose it, the QR code will show up on the screen.

You must now scan with any UPI app. Users must choose the preferred bank account after scanning the code. You will then be prompted to click on confirm. You must now choose how much money to remove. Following this, the UPI PIN must be input. Following this, a UPI message announcing the impending transaction will be delivered. Your money will then be withdrawn from the ATM. The Android operating system is used to build UPI ATM. Currently, Hitachi Payment Services is the only WLA provider. Deposits in cash are also possible. has use of a network that includes more than 3000 ATMs.
